Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: April 9, 2026
Last Updated: April 9, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Coral Sands Resort, operated by Palmera Vacation Club (“we,” “us,” “our”), is committed to ensuring that our website at www.coralsandshhi.com is accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that every person deserves equal access to the information and services available on our website, and we are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our digital experience for everyone.

2. Accessibility Standards

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a widely accepted framework for making web content more accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is recognized as the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and is the benchmark we are striving to meet across our entire website.

3. Current Status

Our website was recently launched, and we want to be transparent about where we are in our accessibility journey. We are actively working toward full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance, but we recognize that our website may not yet meet every guideline in its entirety.

Accessibility measures we have implemented or are actively working to implement include using semantic HTML markup to ensure proper document structure and screen reader compatibility, providing alternative text descriptions for meaningful images, ensuring sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements in alignment with our brand color palette, implementing a logical and consistent heading hierarchy throughout all pages, ensuring all interactive elements such as navigation links, buttons, and form fields are accessible via keyboard navigation, using descriptive and meaningful link text rather than generic phrases such as “click here,” designing our contact form with properly associated labels for all input fields, maintaining a consistent and predictable navigation structure across all pages, and ensuring that text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.

Areas where we are continuing to improve include conducting comprehensive testing with assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and alternative input devices, reviewing and optimizing all multimedia content for accessibility, ensuring full compliance of any third-party embedded content such as Google Maps and social media integrations, refining focus indicators and tab order across all pages and interactive elements, and adding ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where semantic HTML alone may not provide sufficient context.

We are committed to addressing these areas as part of our ongoing development and will continue to make improvements on a regular basis.

4. Accessibility Features

Our website includes the following features designed to support accessible browsing:

Navigation. Our website uses a consistent navigation structure with clearly labeled links and a logical page hierarchy to help all visitors find the information they need efficiently.

Text and Typography. We use readable font sizes and typefaces throughout the website. Text content is structured with proper headings, paragraphs, and lists to ensure clarity for both visual readers and assistive technology users.

Color and Contrast. We strive to maintain color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. We do not rely on color alone to convey information.

Images. We provide alternative text for images that convey meaningful content. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by screen readers.

Forms. Our contact form includes properly associated labels for all input fields, clear placeholder text, and descriptive error messages to guide users through the submission process.

Responsive Design. Our website is designed to be responsive and functional across a variety of devices and screen sizes, including desktop computers, tablets, and mobile phones.

5. Third-Party Content

Our website may include content or functionality provided by third parties, such as embedded maps, social media feeds, or external calendar integrations. While we make every effort to select accessible third-party tools and services, we acknowledge that some third-party content may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and may fall outside our direct control.

Where we become aware of accessibility barriers in third-party content, we will work with those providers to address the issues or seek accessible alternatives. If you encounter difficulty accessing any third-party content on our website, please contact us and we will do our best to provide the information you need in an alternative format.

6. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is not a one-time project — it is an ongoing commitment. As part of our continued efforts, we are incorporating accessibility considerations into our website design and development process from the outset, conducting periodic accessibility reviews and audits of our website content and functionality, training our team members on accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles, monitoring evolving accessibility standards and legal requirements to ensure continued compliance, and prioritizing accessibility improvements based on impact and user feedback.

As our website matures and evolves, we will continue to expand and refine our accessibility efforts. Our goal is to reach and maintain full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across all pages and features.

7. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations at this time may include some images may be missing alternative text descriptions or may have descriptions that could be more detailed, some older or embedded content may not fully support assistive technologies, certain interactive elements may have limited keyboard navigation support while we continue to refine tab order and focus management, and third-party integrations may present accessibility barriers outside our direct control.

We are actively working to identify and resolve these issues. If you encounter a specific barrier, please let us know so we can prioritize it.

8. Feedback and Assistance

Your feedback is essential to helping us improve the accessibility of our website. If you experience any difficulty accessing content or functionality on our website, encounter an accessibility barrier that prevents you from obtaining information or using a feature, or have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, please contact us using any of the methods below. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will make every reasonable effort to address your concerns promptly.

When contacting us about an accessibility issue, it is helpful if you can provide a description of the problem you encountered, the page or URL where the issue occurred, the type of assistive technology you were using (if applicable), and your preferred method of contact so we can follow up with you.

We will do our best to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to provide the information or assistance you need in an accessible format.

9. Alternative Formats

If you are unable to access any content on our website due to an accessibility barrier, we are happy to provide the information in an alternative format. Alternative formats we can offer include providing content by email in plain text, reading content to you over the phone, mailing printed materials to your address, and providing information in large print upon request.
